About the Initiative

With China's ever-increasing need for natural resources, witnessed at our highly successful China investors summit natural resources held in April, the production team has decided to organise a second edition to be hosted in Shanghai on July 18th and 19th 2012. The recently concluded initiative hosted leading investors from China along with 13 pre-screened investment cases offering opportunities in natural resources.

Chinese companies are to continue seeking iron ore, copper, and bauxite projects overseas as the country has a significant supply deficit in these metals. China accounts for 15% of global production but consumes over 40% of the world’s steel output. China is thus seeking to secure future deposits to avoid any shortfall in supply.
